We're excited to announce that Coffee House Creamery was recently chosen to be a GOOGLE Favorite Place. So what does that mean? Good Question. According to Google, the locations chosen for the Favorite Places list were determined based on the popularity of a business' Google listing. Over 100,000 businesses were identified as Favorite Places, representing less than 1% of the 28 million U.S. businesses.
We got a little sticker to put by the front door. There is a special barcode called a QR code on that sticker that can be read by most "smartphones." Again, according to Google, when you scan the QR code on the window sticker you will quickly be taken to Coffee House Creamery's mobile Place Page on Google, where you can:
- Download a coupon directly to your phone to redeem immediately
- Read reviews to see what other users think about us
- Leave your own review
- Star us to remember to visit again or to share with others
So, the next time you come in, give it a try. If you don't happen to to be toting a fancy new smartphone yet, you can still access the coupons the old fashioned way. Just click on this link and print one out - CHC Google Coupons. |

Starbucks Wants To Be Like Us |

On July 24th Starbucks opened 15th Avenue Coffee and Tea in Seattle. It's a contrived "neighborhood coffee house" with no corporate branding or visible indication that it is owned by Starbucks. It seems that after years of trying to stamp out all forms of small business, the "independent" brand has suddenly become very attractive to big corporations. So, will patrons of 15th Avenue Coffee and Tea sip away in Seattle's newest "indie" coffee house oblivious to the 800 pound gorilla in the room? Probably. So, the next time you come in, take a careful look around our place. Coffee House Creamery might be a corporate experiment secretly run by a multi-billion dollar international giant. The Seattle Times and NPR have some interesting articles about 15th Avenue Coffee and Tea. |

Finally! We have been working hard on our new web page and here it is! This site was created entirely using free/open souce tools such as Joomla. It was definitely a learning experience but that's what makes it fun. We couldn't have done it without a ton of advice from one of our best customers - Kasey Kasemodel of API Network in Ypsilanti. Since we have never created a real web site before (the original CHC website barely qualified as a web site) I'm sure that there will be some bugs. If you find a bug in the site or if you just have a suggestion to make it better, please
